Unveiling of the memorial plaque

Wild stone and transparent glass. Strength, power, and the philosophy of life’s fragility. Time frozen at the peak of beauty and tragedy.This is how Volodymyr Chornyi was commemorated by his friends — through a memorial plaque now installed within the walls of NAOMA.

Together with his family, we are deeply grateful to Taras, Volodymyr, and Serhii for this powerful creation and for the meaningful concept behind it.

We thank the Academy for its warmth and for preserving the memory of Vovchyk.

Now, within the institution, you can visit this artistic memorial to the fallen warrior-artist (first floor, to the right).You can also view Chornyi’s artwork “Moschophoros and the Predatory Wolves”, done in the technique of modular etching, which was donated to NAOMA by the artist’s family.
